Im Rahmen der Bearbeitung des Nachlasses von Hugo Schuchardt am Institut für Sprachwissenschaft der Universität Graz (in Kooperation mit dem Zentrum für Informationsmodellierung) ist es nach der Aufarbeitung der Korrespondenzen (derzeit ca. 11.000 Briefe kommentiert online) und dem gescannten gedruckten Gesamtwerk, nunmehr im Rahmen eines Projekts zur Digitalisierung von Kulturerbe gelungen, auch den gesamten Manuskriptnachlass Hugo Schuchardts zu digitalisieren (1.107 Katalogisate bei 33.653 Digitalisaten) und on-line zu stellen.

Die wissenschaftliche Bearbeitung und Vernetzung im Gesamtnachlass war bislang noch nicht möglich. Der derzeitige Stand bildet bislang nur die Bibliotheksordnung ab und diese bedarf noch Korrekturen, Vernetzungen und Kontextualisierungen, die in einem Folgeprojekt gaplant sind. Wichtiges Faktum allerdings ist: sämtliche Texte sind frei abrufbar.
